"Freakonomics" is data analysis of social trends from a less common perspective. For instance, the nationwide drop in the crime rate in the 90's that was attributed to a host of law and order solutions, Steve Levitt, an economist, seeks to prove that it was a result of Roe v. Wade. This is just one example of a deeper and perhaps even a wilder analysis done in the film. The overriding theme was that of incentives and the role incentives play in our lives. It was interesting, but nothing mind-blowing.

1/27/18. An entertaining documentary that looks at the various ways economics play a role in our lives. So educational without feeling like you are being lectured to about ethical behaviors, cheating, etc. Worth catching. You'll learn some about how society functions!

I really enjoyed the books, Freakonomics and Superfreakonomics, so was curious how they could be made into a movie. Turns out it is exactly as you would expect - a documentary with enactments and illustrations. The dramatizations help, but, other than this, the movie doesn't really add anything to the books.Still, well worth the watch, especially if you haven't read the books.
